Model Graphix ( モ デ ル ラ ラ フ ィ ッ ス ス? ) Is a Japanese magazine launched in 1984 and specialized inaeronautical model making . It is a seinen (publication intended more for a public of young men) published at a monthly rate, at the end of the month, by the publisher Dai Nippon Kaiga 1 .

Model Graphix is known to have prepublished several mangas . It publishes short stories drawn by the animator and mangaka Hayao Miyazaki : The Age of seaplanes in 1989 (which he then inspired for his film Porco Rosso ) 2 , The Return of Hans in 1994 3 , the series in six episodes Tiger mud-covered in 1998-1999 on the life of the German tank driver Otto Carius 4 , then The wind rises in 2008 on the life of the Japanese engineer Jirō Horikoshi , manga on which he then bases himself for a film animation in 2013.
