The Orion is a model of boat serving as ex-votos in the church Saint-Sauveur neighborhood of St Goustan in Auray ( Morbihan ).
Along 2.67 m and a height of 1.46 m and a weight of 26 kg , the Orion is armored to spur rigged in barquentine , also operating at the steam . It would be the largest ex-voto sailor of Brittany 1 .
The model was built by the workshops of the Navy from Lorient to 1865 . It would have served as a model for Magenta 2 . It was not until 1908 that the boat was converted into an object of devotion to Saint Goustan 1 .
Called Saint-Goustan , then Le Goustannais , it takes the name of Bigorneau 3 after the Second World War. In 1994 – 1995 , the boat is fully restored and takes the name of Orion . In 2014 , he was again suspended from the church vault, after remaining long in a glass case 4 .
